Using honeycomb cardboard pallets offers several advantages, such as:
- Lightness: cm 120x80 2-way honeycomb cardboard pallet weighs only 2 kg instead of 15-20 kg as in conventional wooden pallets. This makes handling easier with consequent cheaper transport costs.
- Strength: tests carried out by external laboratories show that the honeycomb cardboard pallet has a high resistance to compression, also by means of the feet being double glued with hot melt vinyl glue.
- Recyclability: entirely made of recycled paper, honeycomb cardboard pallet is 100% sustainable and may be re-used together with boxes and other paper packaging.
- Safety and versatility: the absence of nails or wood splinters makes honeycomb cardboard pallets completely safe to handle, eliminating risks of injury to the operators or of damage to packaging and contents.
Pallets may be classified according to the number of "fork entries" or in terms of reversibility. "Entry" or "fork space" stands for the opening allowing entry by forklifts or pallet jacks. A pallet is defined 2-way or 4-way according to how it may be entered by forks: on two opposite sides or on all four sides. A pallet is defined reversible (double deck) if either deck, higher and lower, may be used as a support surface. It is anyway advisable to verify our NIDOPAN® pallets are safe to use through loading and handling tests. Single-use honeycomb cardboard pallets are recommended when the client receiver is in any country where regulations on wood parasites are applicable.
